About Fusion Tutoring
Fusion tutoring was created by one founding belief: that to truly improve, students need to love to learn!
Years of memorization and repetitive worksheets have left many learners feeling like the subjects they are learning are not only difficult, but boring! Fusion Tutoring takes a decidedly different approach. Our tutors are not only skilled in explaining the material, but are all incredibly passionate about what they are teaching. This passion does not only translate into a better lesson, but better information retention and, eventually, a love of the learning process.
At Fusion Tutoring, we encourage students to think about their own goals before each and every lesson. Wanting to perform well on a test? Of course we can help you! Are you hoping to feel that drive to improve? Now that is where the magic happens.
Our lessons are extremely customizable, and are delivered over a variety of in-person and online formats. We hope that our passion for teaching is infectious, and we look forward to working with you!
About the Owner - Téo Ardanaz
Téo Ardanaz graduated with a master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Political Science from UBC Okanagan. He specializes in quantitative data analysis. As a member of the varsity volleyball team, Téo was named Graduating Athlete of the Year. He is also a 6-time Academic All-Canadian, a holder of a UBC Presidential Scholars Award, and the recipient of the UBC Okanagan Student Leadership and Involvement Award.
His over 5 years of tutoring experience have taught him one thing: that to truly improve, people need to love to learn! He brings this approach to each and every class, session, and workshop that he leads.
Téo currently specializes in teaching French. His lessons cover the essentials, such as grammar, verb tenses, and sentence construction. However, they do so in an environment where people are encouraged to experiment with French.
A little bit about his French journey: his father and grandfather grew up in Montreal, and raised him in a household where they always spoke French. He graduated from the Conseil Scolaire Francophone (BC’s French school district) in 2018, with an International Baccalaureate certificate in French. He has since continued to be implicated in BC’s francophone community, working closely with the Conseil Jeunesse Francophone, BC’s francophone youth council. This has allowed him to both teach and run events in French.
He has worked with a variety of students over the years: K-12, university, business professionals, and retirees! His lessons are extremely customizable and can range from help around a specific topic, essay writing and review, or preparation for oral exams (among many other things!).

Hello everyone! Thank you for checking out Fusion!
I come from a family of many teachers (parents, aunts, grandparents). As I grew older, I came to realize that I may have caught a bit of the teaching bug as well. Ok, maybe a lot! From coaching volleyball teams and camps, to tutoring students, to running youth events, I got hooked!
I started Fusion because I noticed a growing disconnect between students and schooling. Growing up, so many of my friends were dissatisfied with that they were learning in school. Be it the expected performance piece, the over worked teacher (believe me, by no fault of their own, they are stretched thin), or external pressure, it seemed to me that more and more people were drifting away from the core principle of education: learning!
With Fusion, I am hoping to bring some of that back, by fusing (see what I did there) individual interests with the subject under study. I hope you enjoy!
